The JINX
- It's near closing time on Conan Wilkerson's season. With the New Brew all but wrapped up, I'll be looking to cut Conan's starts to save him arm for the future. I know it's a risk that may cost me a playoff spot, but I've got to stick to the long term plan of having a healthy ace for years to come. I'd look for two or three starts max the rest of the way for 'Checkmate'.
BTW - Did anyone NOT see the Joe Sierra resurgence in Maine coming? Kid hit almost .500 this week with 3 more bombs. Have to wonder if they concept of "change of scenery trades" is factored into the game or if it's just dumb luck.

Didn't he also get hurt and is going to be close to missing the rest of the season?

I think it's a 2-week injury.
I believe in the "change in scenery" trade but I'm pretty sure Sierra was done in Washington. While his ratings were still good my scout had soured on his outlook. Saying things like, "disappointing as a starter." Dude was never the same after he shattered his ankle against the Freedom.
O'Fallon is playing really well for the Bats. I needed another lefty hitter.
Wilmington Wildcats- 2057- Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041 Washington Bats - 1979-2013
Pretty amazing pitching duel in that 2nd Game at Indy. Magness and Abe battle the whole way. Virginia gets 2 hits, Indy gets 3... Colonials scratch out the 1-0 win.
