What determines media revenue?

I was looking at the financial report for the league and noticed the gap in media revenue. I'd like to increase mine, but I'm not really sure what its comprised of. Is it tied to your record or how popular your players are?

I noticed there are only six different amounts teams are getting, so is it a gradually building thing?

Also, how the hell did Virginia end up at the top?? Nobody wants to watch them!

For the original teams it was determined randomly at the time the league was created. For expansion teams it was decided, by Andrew I think, that they'd be at the bottom for revenue from this source. I don't think that anyone in this league understands how to increase it in-game, but it does happen. I think Carolina and Cali have received increases this way since the league's inception.

There is one thing that you can do to increas it one level and that is to add a retractable dome to your stadium at a cost of $50 million. I think that a one-level increase is worth $6.75 million per year.
