I think we all already heard that one 100 times by now. I hope you weren't thinking that there is a prize for the 100th retelling of the same joke.

I'm pretty sure if there were a prize for beating jokes into the ground I would have claimed most of them months ago.

MacOwl got screwed. more wins, less losses, lower ERA, more K's than Gonzalez.

Gonzalez has more All-Star appearances, a significantly lower WHIP, a much higher career VORP, has a BLB Championship Ring, 20+ more complete games, played for one franchise, twice has lead the IL in innings, IL career leader in complete games, single season record holder for WHIP....MacOwl is not on the SP leaderboard for a single-season or career pitching achievement.

Pretty close though. Gonzalez was the more dominant pitcher while MacOwl was more consistent.

There are a lot of good names that didn't make the cut... MacOwl... Parongao... quality Pitchers had to be left off the list.

                Significant? Really? 1.02 to 1.12?

I guess than I should rephrase. MacOwl has significantly more wins, significantly less losses, significantly more strikeouts, significantly less ERA. All the marquee stats.

So WHIP and VORP were the criteria?

Well, to be fair, you were going to disagree with whatever the committee said anyway... it's just kind of your thing. Plus, despite the fact that it is a fictional stat based league, the committee may have tried to take more things into account than straight stats.... things like ASG, Leaderboard appearances, Rings would be factored into a similar list being compiled by the MLB, so why not here?

So, you're politely saying that MacOwl took a bit of blame for those early year Windy City failures?

What does playing with one franchise have to do with his selection?

                            It doesn't.

The committee can pick and choose whatever criteria they choose. This list is obviously unscientific. Leader board matters but how much? Championships matter except for a guy like McEvoy who has none. Career leader boards matter how much? And for what stats? All star games?

I'm sure there will lots of disagreements. Glad I could kick it off.
