Sunday, July 26th, 1987: Jorge Taracena Says Farewell to Baseball
Local papers are reporting that Jorge Taracena of the Carolina Tobs will retire at season's end.

Looking at his all-time stats, Taracena has a career .270 average with 1300 hits, 304 doubles, 46 triples, 165 home runs and 718 RBIs to date. He has scored 850 runs, walked 993 times and stolen 79 bases.

More and more familiar names starting to hang it up. 10 seasons in... it's pretty interesting that we're not too far away from seeing guys entire career in BLB form. There's some real GREATS getting into that 34-36 range... not too many good years left.
