They are probably all catchers.
I think BA recognizes that you've got some magic going when it comes to developing catchers and automatically includes them on their list everytime you draft one.

One catcher, two 2B's. My first pick Curt Wells is a catcher though, 23rd ranked prospect and according to the consensus, 2nd best player in the draft.
Yeah we're weird with catchers. The thing is, the CPU drafted like 4 more for me this year. Oooops. By the time Burgett is a F/A we'll have his replacement at least.
BTW, Riverman your system is SICK. I'm very scared.WINDY CITY PLAYBOYS

California Kodiaks (43-27)
3-0 @ Virginia
3-0 vs. Wilmington
The Good
- Harry Elliott had a good week hitting 11/24 for a line of .458/.548/.458/1.006
- I added two more players into the Top 100 prospect list. Up to seven guys now on the list.
- 6-0 is always a reason to celebrate
- Oswaldo Escarcaga gave a good start going 7 IP, only giving up 1 R and striking out 4.
The Bad
- Robby Shannon. He hit 11/24 with a line of .458/.552/.750/1.302 but only collected 4 RBI's, 2 were on solo home runs. I think a switch back to the three spot might be in short order.
- Bing-de She blew a save this week. Thankfully the offense bailed him out in the bottom of the ninth.
- Franois Dupuis has been scuffling as of late. He'd be a huge help if he'd start getting on base at his average levels.
- First round pick Gene Robinson did not make the Top 100 list of prospects. Hopefully that is not a sign of things to come.
Next Week: 3 @ Washington, 3 @ MorgantownCalifornia Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013
Brewmaster's Cups: 1987
Import League Champions: 1987, 1989
Porter Division Champions: 1986, 1987, 1989, 1999, 2000
Import League Wild Card: 2001, 2003, 2004

Philadelphia Freedom (39 - 31, 4.0 GB)
3-3 overall
2-1 vs. Morgantown
1-2 vs. Washington
Dropped 3 games in the standings with CAL posting a perfect 6-0 week.
Good:
SP Nathan MacOwl – Fell 1 out short of a CG shutout despite a pitch count of 93 and a 5 run lead.
RP Cristián Correa – Threw 3.2 more scoreless relief innings this week with 4 Ks. Interesting to see this kid getting a bit of recognition in early AllStar voting.
RP Trevor Broomfield – He’s the fans’ whipping boy so it’s only fair to give him props for 6.0 IP in relief over 4 appearances without allowing a run. He is normally maddeningly inconsistent so it’s good to see a steady weeks’ worth of work out of him.
3rd Round Draft Pick (our first pick in the draft) OF Hsuang-tsung Nan – A 17 year old Chinese-Canadian from BC debuts at #29 on the prospect top 100 ranking list.
Not as Good:
SP Bill Gillespie – Rolled out a stat line of 1.2IP 8H 7ER 1 BB in his one start of the week.
RP Jesús Taborga – double his ERA to 3.38 for the season in just two appearances racking up 6ER in just 1.0 IP
Game 3 vs WAS – a 10-0 whitewashing put on us by the visiting Bats. Nothing gets the home crowd more excited than seeing the good guys get shutout while giving up double digit runs.Last edited by BradZ; 07-16-2009, 01:33 PM.Philly Freedom

Top prospect Robert Abbott went 4-4, with two doubles, two RBI, 1 run and 1 BB in that game. He hit .500 for the week, with 20 total bases.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
