You need to let whomever is bothering you go, dude. I know it sounds like I'm saying its easy, but you really would do yourself a favor. I don't care who it is, if you feel they are wronging you, let 'em go. You'll be better off.

And like Clay said, let his league be a release for you. Don't be so cereal about it all the time.

It would be a release if I didn't suck, Haydon didn't take a talent hit, and Gremades would hit home runs.

I'd trade with you if you weren't asking for all of my good young players. :)

And I'm not saying that to put you on the spot. I'm just saying that you can't expect people to make trades with you if they're trying to improve their team as well.

That's what makes these leagues so interesting. We aren't a bunch of CPU GMs willing to deal just because you offer a quality bat or two.

Just got my first injury of the year that will require the use of the new injury reduction rule. Pitcher, Sean McHutchen.

You need to post that in the commissioner-to-do thread along with an explanation of how he meets the criteria for a reduction.

              California Kodiaks (29-22)

              2-1 @ Los Alamos

              2-2 vs. Baltimore

              The Good
              - Robby Shannon got player of the week, and player of the month in the IL. Well deserved IMO as he hit .390/.459/.762/1.221 with 10 HR's and 26 RBI's in May.

              - Joe Toapanta, 8 IP, 3 H, 0 R's, 11 K's against divison rival Baltimore.

              - François Dupuis, Lucio Mendez and Robby Shannon all put up OPS's over 1.000 last week.

              The Bad
              - Joe Lopez, Complete game, 5 hit, 2-0 loss against Baltimore. Come on guys! Score some runs!

              - Going 2-2 at home against a division rival. Always want to see a winning series at home, but splitting a series is always better than losing one.

              - Losing clean up hitter José Compres for the next two weeks to a sore shoulder.

              Next Week: 2 @ Philadelphia, 2 vs. Batavia, 3 @ Baltimore

                  Philadelphia Freedom (27 - 24, 2.0 GB)

                  2-5 for the week

                  0-3 @ Windy City

                  2-2 vs. Batavia

Well, I’ve been putting this off as long as I could, but it doesn’t look like we are going to re-sim this past week. That’s a shame.

There are a handful of players on every team that are viewed as irreplaceable by that organization. In no particular order mine would probably be Joe Aurillo, Mel Woodbury and Ben Irvin. Injuries to others would certainly hurt (and have this year), but a loss of any of those three and the mood around the clubhouse is noticeably somber.

We lost Aurillo and Irvin on back to back days this week.

Aurillo made it through 1.1 innings before leaving his start with a “Dead Arm”. His prognosis is 1-2 weeks (hopefully the shorter side of that).

Irvin took the hill the next day and made it through 4.2 innings before his arm completely fell off. His prognosis, 2-3 months. He immediately goes on the 60 day DL taking with him this season stat line:

                  7-1 1.36 ERA/0.95 WHIP/54 K in 72.2 IP.

He has been by far our best pitcher this year and arguably our best overall player. His loss can not be overstated. Our starting pitching was razor thin to begin the year and we will now have to try to piece together a rotation with journeyman pitchers and inexperienced minor leaguers. This severely hurts our chances of sticking at the top of our division this year. We’ll see how things go over the next few weeks to see if the rest of the team can pick up the slack and perform at a higher level, but the more likely outcome is we will be sellers at the trade deadline.

On the plus side, you're going into a pretty favorable part of your schedule. If you can tread water for 2 months, you'll get Irvin back in time for a pretty ugly run in August and September.
