Well that sim didn't go so well.

Not sure what to do. Castre got the call from AAA since I think he's ready and he has pitched well at that level. But his start got taken by our spot starter who did his usual arsonist act. Hopefully Castre will solidify our rotation 1-5 but our relievers have dropped like flies so far this season.

Gonna have to keep it up or we'll be trying to sell some pieces soon.

      Pig Tales - May 25, 1987

      3 - 3: 2 - 1 Vs Pitt; 1 - 2 @ Syr

This team reminds me of the Syracuse University basketball program. They usually play to the level of their competition. They never dominate a team with a sub-par record, but they're rarely blown out by a team that's heavily favored. It can be extremely frustrating to be a fan (or a GM).

Team hit an even .250 last week, with Cahill .474/.615/.737, Harbison .364/.440/.773, and Sephton .333/.385/.708 leading the way. If Harbison keeps this crap up, I'm going to have to give him the contract extension he wants.

Carl Bell went quietly into middle relief, and Jerry "Godzilla" Kraft didn't skip a beat as the new Closer (2 Saves, 3.1 IP, 0.00/0.60/.167). SPs Goderie and Krieger continue to have problems giving up the long ball; although overall they pitched well. It was Phil Gibson's turn to get hammered (3.0 IP, 4 ER). Guardamagni pitched 8.0 scoreless innings and rang up another 13 Ks. I would definitely do him.
