Good:
- Joe Lopez picks up his first win of the season going 6.1 giving up 3 runs. He did have an ugly 8/2 BB/K ratio though.
- Bullpen was strong going 11 2/3 innings and only giving up 2 runs.
- Robby Shannon went 5/10 with 4 RBI's.
- Conan Wilkerson went 6 innings giving up one run on five hits. Had a nice 9/1 K/BB

Bad:
- Owen Gilbertson 1/11
- Lost another extra innings game 3-1 in 15

1-1 @ Batavia
Good:
- Oswaldo Escarcaga went seven in a quality start
- Owen Gilbertson 2/5, Double, Triple, 3 walks

Bad:
- Victoro Diaz keeps up giving home runs. The guy has a 6 in movement yet he's giving up a bomb every seven innings

2-1 vs. Virginia
Good:
- Conan Wilkerson getting the win in the #1 vs. #2 prospect showdown

Bad:
- Joe Toapanta 0.2 IP, 6 ER. Ouch

I had to face Theodore, McEvoy and Chavarraga this week. Sato hit a two-run homer off of Theodore in the first, but those were the only runs I scored against the three. I'm happy to get a 3-4 sim and I hope I start missing the other team's top pitchers soon.

In one of my games against Los Alamos I managed only 3 hits not counting those by my pitcher but those 3 hits plus a 3-3 day at the plate by Pateshall, 7 walks and 3 errors by Los Alamos were good enough for 6 runs and a win.

I don't think this team will be good enough over the long haul but am hoping to stay in contention for another few weeks as it makes a pretty big difference at the gate.

Dang, that's bad news or are you just being modest? I've been counting on you to keep Wolf's pot alive by ousting Philly and Dallas from the playoffs when the time comes.

I think you're half right... I think you're not as good as your hot start, but I don't see anyone getting within 8-10 games of winning the Stout when all is said and done.

Top prospect SP Jeremiah Gray has had a nice bit of luck (sarcasm alert!)

He's allowed 7 earned runs in his last four starts throwing at least 8 innings in three of those starts and has gone 0-4. He's also been the victim of two 1-0 losses in that same span of games. Gray is currently 0-4 with a 1.75 ERA.

Next up, Julian Murillo in AA ball. He has given up one earned run in each of the last four of five starts (gave up 6 earned runs in his worst start of the young season). He's 2-2 with a 2.73 ERA.

A lot of guys are fielding ringers on their A teams and it can be pretty hard on the young hitters who are actually A-level players to handle them.

My A ball team is actually playing well, though. I think it's mostly the pitching. I don't see much offensive talent in A ball. Not enough to have their record. It's definitely pitching.

I clearly said, no injuries to speak of, lol. Perhaps I could have mentioned a minor leaguer who suffered a fractured skull or another with a ruptured biceps tendon. We've still got injuries as an organization, just a bit further south this week. Not to mention my broken record message that says "3 of our original starting 8 offensive players are currently on the disabled list".
