The Washington Bats announced that this evenings game against the Virginia Colonials will be full of entertainment value. The game itself is a matchup between the two best teams in the Stout and the first divisional game of the season! Also the game lands on GM Patrick McLaughlin's favorite day of the year.
To celebrate the holiday, the Bats have brought in 1987 Grammy Award Winning Reggae singer Peter Tosh to perform before the game. Throwing out the first pitch will be Cheech Marin, who is doing a promotion for his upcoming film "Born In East L.A.", which is in theatres this summer. Brought in to sing the National Anthem are Chris and Rich Robinson, brothers, a duo rivavilist band from Georgia, called "Mr. Crowes Garden."
If that isn't enticing enough, the first 5,000 fans get a complimentary pre-rolled joint. Each is stamped with a Washington Bat logo and filled with the sweetest cheeba.
The pitching matchup features the Colonials Nate "The Skull" Magness and the Bats Russ McEvoy. Both will likely represent the IL in the All-Star game later this summer. Because the game is expected to sell out, fans have been showing up early. Some have even been waiting for days. Including this man, pictured below.
Enjoy the game! And the joints!
