  • SIM COMPLETE - 1987 - ST2

    Next sim: Tuesday

    Reminders:
    1) Reduce your active rosters to 25 before Tuesdays sim.
    2) All players who are in the minor leagues and are out of options (+ symbol) will be placed on waivers during Tuesday's sim. It would be a big help if you guys could do this for your team in Tuesday's export. (FWIW, this issue is fixed in OOTP X)
    3) Remember to submit your HOF ballot. http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/foru...ead.php?t=6017

9-1 in the second half of Spring Training -- 17-7 for the Pre-Season. No real evidence that the ST really means anything, but some good play from imporatant players.

Medine, who was red hot in ST, got knocked down for 4 weeks (3 weeks of Reg Season) so that makes my already thin OF a little tighter.

My Top 4 in the rotation are locked in, but Vizcarra and Oyos were both pretty bad. They'll probably alternate starts for a few weeks to see who wants to claim #5.

Kick off the season with 3 with Batavia then head to the band-box in B'More for 3 against Harcourt and his new teammates. Lot of road games in April again this season.

Owner expectations are simply to finish above .500... he and I are on the same page!

Meh, 10-16 in ST. Starting pitching was pretty bad, but the bullpen and lineup was solid. If Noke can shake off this ST performance and I can get anything out of Lang and Gonzo, I should at least crack .500.

I think my spring training is exactly how my team will play during the season.

Good young hitting that will score some runs. Starting pitching that will lose us games.

Murillo and Gray can't be ready soon enough. I dream of a Erwood, Murillo, Gray rotation. Waiting for an injury to ruin this fantasy (assuming that Erwood's 11 month nightmare didn't already).

No significant injuries in the 2nd half of ST. Hooray!

My owner expects us to win it all...that makes two of us.

Word to the wise...especially the cellar dwellers....this is a great opportunity to land some talent for nothing....

We finish ST 13-11. No major injuries to our team, so nothing to complain about for me.

I'm not sure what to think about how my team will do this year. My owner thinks we should be above .500 and I think we can do that. We'll obviously miss Nino, but our lineup could still be decent. I like our 1-2-3 of Parongao, Delclos and Gates and I think my bullpen has more depth and quality arms despite losing Cabezas. We're not a title contender, but I don't think we'll be awful either.

On the prospect front, our top prospect Hector Castre will start out at AAA. My scout says he's good enough to start in the BLB now, but he didn't do as well as I would like in ST. So we'll see what he can do at AAA for a month or so, but it probably won't take long for him to get the call.

I still like Carolina a lot... especially your pitching. I have you finishing a close 2nd in your division and 2nd in the Wildcard.

Our season begins with 3 starters (3B, SS, & RF) on the D/L. Sumunabeech.

I actually remembered to do the waiver thingy (after Andrew reminded us, of course).

Can anybody tell me if their scouts started hating SP Stephens as well? Is a -3 in ratings normal? Will it come back? The kid got shelled in ST.

He went from 8-7-8 potential in January 1986 to 5-4-5 in March 1987, but his real ratings never changed. Maybe the scouts just see him better?
