I am really surprised at how little some of these guys got. I'm not sure if some GMs just decided to sit on their money or if there just wasn't enough money to go around, given the size of the FA class.

I was targeting Ponte since the start of the off season but I certainly wasn't going to give him the $16mm he was asking for in the beginning.

Yeah I think the free agency schedule this year has worked much better in the past. Salary demands have dropped more gradually rather than dropping drastically during the long sims we used in the past.
The only concern I have is with FA compensation. Doesn't seem like the system is working quite right when Carolina isn't getting a pick for Ponte.

Does the game designate players as Type A and Type B FAs? I think it used to at least. IRL compensation has nothing to do with how much a FA signs for.
