We got all three guys we were targeting at the price we wanted. Couldn't be happier. Eddie Taylor returns home to help shore up the bullpen. Added a power bat to the OF to replace Dardon, Burgett will be back for opening day, things looking good for opening day in WC.

I'm sure you'll all understand if I don't visit the forum pages as frequently as I used to; what with having to be Leonel Tesina's personal ball washer for the next 3 seasons. I hope $7.5M/yr gets me a few more runs. Looks like my infielders are gonna' have to do the Ickey Shuffle. Or I could plant him at 1B and wince...

          Pretty quiet sim for me.

Converted some RP's into SP's in the low minors... otherwise just ready to get the season started.

Got Samarano and Lamberts (3rd time I've signed the guy!)

Missed out on the closer's market though. I'm fine with going homegrown talent for closer though, I like Pat Richmond.

Picked up Tom Zimmerman on a 1-year deal to compete with Cristian Martinez for the everyday 2B spot. Martinez was great last year, but I'm just not sold that that wasn't a fluke. He's a great utility guy and that is likely his role in the future.

Most importantly, this buys Yoritoki Maeda another season in AAA (or at least 3-4 months) before he makes the leap.

The addition of Zimmerman also brings our Fan Interest up to 92. Our additions this off season have sent out fans into a frenzy and we're hoping that excitement leads to 81 sell-outs and moving a little extra merch.

I signed a few scrappy pitchers to round out my pitching staff (bullpen included) and despite them not being top tier pitchers, my staff is definitely better than last year. Hopefully, that means some good.

Denver might have a new promotion on Opening Day. A bunch of rookies all over the field.

Seltzer (DH/1B), Al-Sadat (2B), Browning (LF), Borkholder (C), Higgins (UTI).

So looking at the schedule we open up with six straight at home, as well as end the year with four straight at home.

                        Can't complain too much.

Although, I'm not liking the Los Alamos, Windy City six game homestand to start the year... both are teams that I have big troubles with.

Must be nice. We start out with NINE straight on the road. April will be half over before the home town fans get a chance to see some baseball.

I think the schedule will change once the Spring Training schedule goes up. I don't think what you see now is what we'll actually play.

                            But I could be wrong.

I hope it stays the same.

The OOTP scheduler gave me 162 games against a bunch of scrub teams.
