I have two players on my draft list, set to auto...I'm shocked that both have lasted this long. If I land both, I will be even more surprised.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

I know I'm late to the party, but is "refund" really an appropriate nickname for a star athlete?

Not surprisingly, my scout appears to be in a world of his own. I love Geoff Rice and basically flipped a coin between him and Gates with my first round pick. Rice was #8 on my draft list.
I'd be thrilled if either Yates or Rice became the player my scout thinks they can be.Washington Bats, 2013-

RF Héctor Gomez (35th overall)
P Ernie Bowman (37th overall)
P Manny Ortíz (43rd overall)
My scout has Gomez at 5-7-5-4-4. Also the #7th player on the draft list. My scout has Bowman I think something like 7-6-6, and he is #22 on the draft list. My scout is not a big fan of Ortiz (4-3-4), but he is by far the highest rated player on the draft list at #9. Hopefully my scout is wrong and the list is right. I figured he is worth the risk.
Thoughts on my picks so far? Total busts?Last edited by Pat; 06-17-2009, 03:44 PM.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

I had Gomez as the #2 best talent in the draft. Loved Bowman as well. He'll be a quick jump to the majors.

Meanwhile, my scout seems to be in sync with Carolina's. He regarded both Gate's and Rice very highly. Also, I see Whale just grabbed the guy I wanted in the third.
