I think Hyundai got a steal with C - Loren Nash.

Was near the top of my prospect board.

Awesome... he'll probably flame out like all my other high picks.

I have to admit...this draft has been all over the place. My scout has Nash as all 3's....some of the people drafted aren't even on my "are they alive" board....either my scout has been drinking a lot lately, or he's one sneaky bastard.

I'm the same way. Half the guys that have been drafted my scout thinks are total scrubs.

Same here. I'm starting to wonder if my scout spent the extra money I allocated to his scouting budget on hookers, drugs and booze. It's what I would have done.

Maybe I was smart only giving mine $15k.

I know I'm on the clock... I'm going to check my game when I get home. Sorry for the delay.

                        • I'll have my pick in by 6:15 (barring traffic). It's narrowed down to 3... I just need to have one more look. I didn't think it would get to me today.

                          • Well, I kinda feel good about my draft. I allocated 55% into amateur scouting ($687,5000) in a scout that looks at "talent" and has an 80 in "Scout Amateurs". So my top 2 picks were rated

                            Miners (8,8,7,7,8,5,6,7)
                            Nash (6,8,6,5,4,2,2,2)

As for Clay's pick of Ruiz, he was my top rated catcher with (6,7,8,7,4,2,2,2).

I think our Scouts are from the same cloth... he had Miners way ahead of the field.

that might not be a good thing. based on the last 2 drafts, i have very few top 100 prospects... but we'll see how i do after this one since i bumped up the scouting budget.
