The Scouting Budget and the Changing Scouting does make sense. I have a very small scouting budget, so it would only stand to reason that I wouldn't get much swing. I did hit on all of my early picks though, so I can't complain. The Great One!

Has anyone noticed their Scout's opinions change? I've been monitoring mine pretty closely and I haven't seen any real movement.

Does Morgantown know who they are taking yet? Seems like there are a couple of no-brainers at the top... but it depends if you go bat or arm.The Great One!

Just finished my big board yesterday afternoon.
I haven't seen any changes so I assume their opinions are set.
Hoping to have as good of a draft as my 1984 class which was the last one before we switched to OOTP9.
That draft produced.... (Current prospect ratings)
#25 prospect : C - Manny Cisneros (1.4)
#32 prospect : 2B - Jarred Good (2.4)
#58 prospect : 1B - Iván García (4.10)
#96 prospect : SP - Chip Snow (11.4)
And the jewel of the class - SP - Victoro Díaz (4.4) 12-7, 3.31 ERA, 32.9 VORP in his first year in the BLB. Was once among top 20 prospects in the BLB before he lost prospect eligibility.California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013

If there is any movement it will take place with the upcoming scouting update, which is in March, I believe.
If I trusted my scout, I'd also have two no-brainers at the top of the draft.

1987 Draft Discussion
I'll give my quick view on the picks in the 1987 draft... everyone else feel free to post their own thoughts as well.
1.1 - SP: Rubén Ríos - Morgantown
Scout's view : Ríos is a solid #1 pick. While not our top pick in terms of upside, Morgantown can't go wrong with a pitcher that should make a smooth transition into professional baseball. He's a bit advanced in age (20) which should only help speed up his development. Scouts love this kid's control potential (7) and movement (7), but think his stuff (4) may be just average to below average. Ríos is a workhorse. With excellent endurance (8) this kid can pitch for days and days. Scouts also like his ability to control the running game with his above average Hold Runner rating (6).

1.2 - LF: Pancho 'Refund' Pérez
Scout's view: Pérez is someone the scouts like, but not love. Rated as the 19th best prospect in the draft by California's scouts, Perez looks like a player with good contact (5), plus power (6), good zone awareness (5 - eye), solid SLG% (5 - Gap), and average strikeout avoidance (4). He does have plus plus stealing ability at (7) which should make him for a threat on the base paths. He's also advanced in age at 21 which will help him move through the minors quickly.
