Does lightning strike twice? Look at Marlon Todd rating by OSA:

I'm getting a little more excited about the Franklin trade now.
I knew Todd was going to be good... but Franklin is exactly what I needed. He's a cheap lefty who will chew innings. He is easy on the salary and if he just keeps a seat warm for Herrara and/or Morgan, fine by me. Plus, Todd was almost the same age as Alberto Hernando, so trading him was easier. I do think he's going to be good though.

Headington is exactly what I thought he was. He can hit you 25 HRs if the ball park fits his ability. He's going to K over 100 times. He's not going to walk much. He'll be servicible in the OF. He's not a threat to run. I don't miss Headington... The only thing sketchy about that trade was how bad Dallyn was. I'd still pull the trigger 100 times out of 100. A SP with a decent track record for a guy who's OBP will be lucky to get above .300. I make that deal every time.

I can honestly say I don't regret a single trade that I've made. Are there a few players I wouldn't hate having back? One or two... but even the trades that didn't necessarily work out... always lead to the next move. I like to see things as all related. I love my team. I loved my team when we lost 100 games +. I'll love them if and when I ever win.

It my often times be a flawed vision... but it's my vision.

    To many rings to count...

It doesn't matter what park Headington is in, the guy can blast the ball. If you have the right squad, he can be deadly at the bottom of the lineup. I just don't have the offensive lineup I need to put him down there.

I really wanted that kid. Would have fit right in as a part of the bullpen this year.
I think everybody who submitted a list had him #1.

Yeah... he sure would help a team with a bad bullpen... like Sin City... oh wait... they didn't protect him.

                I'm glad to hear that.

I also liked McCoy quite a bit and considered him as my first choice. I was pretty sure that I would get one of the two but not both.

I didn't even look at McCoy until now. Impressive.

In other words Spot should have been thanking me instead of you for not putting McCoy first since the releiver everyone wanted would have gone to Pittsburgh and not to him.

I had about 5 minutes to look over things and send an export. I must have missed the # next to his name. Anyone else notice how he changes teams and all of a sudden his OSA rating skyrocket? I LOVE THIS ******' GAME!

A few noteworthy guys retired on January 1st....

Dave Rumsey - 2x 20 game winner (won 26 in '79) - Lead the league in K's a couple times - K'd an amazing 319 in '78 - Played all 239 games on his career for Hyundai.

Johnny Pugh - Had a breakout '82 season and was considered one of the better young prospects at that time - Career quickly fell apart - Retires at 31.

Tommy Drewery - Threw the BLB's third NO-HITTER for Hyundai - Part of the trade that brought infamous BLB Legend Henry Stafford to Baltimore
