Below is the link in which we discussed fining teams that finish in the red but I don't see any evidence that we actually voted on that change or officially adopted it in some other way, by mandate of the commish, for instance. It is not included in the official league rules.

I'd like to understand if there is an actual rule and what it is. I don't see anything anywhere that suggests that the 5% penalty only applies to the second successive year that a team finishes in the red but I may have missed it.

So, as I understand it, there's no incentive for me to be profitable to the point where my cash level can exceed $20M. That excess just evaporates. Plus, my luxury tax "receipts" evaporate. I can't put the money into expanding the stadium because the evaporation takes place before we can dip into the cash over $20M. Did I hit the nail on the head? Or did I hit my thumb?

Also..."The Gyros" have been canceled because I no longer care.

I think what you need to do is to put all your extra money into the stadium fund.

          I could be wrong though.

Could someone explain to me the "Auto Contrib" column?

I think I get that I had $20M in new cash, and a $1.5M bonus.

So that $1.5M bonus should go into the stadium fund otherwise it evaporates? Or does it automaticly go into the Stadium Fund?

If awards and/or bonuses take your team over the $20 million cash max the overage is not lost but is automatically transferred to your stadium fund. The next couple of sims you have the opportunity to make voluntary contributions to this fund from your remaining year-end cash.

I think I have a good idea of how it works now.

Don't mean to go around asking a bunch of newbie questions, but I searched over the rules page and looked at previous threads and couldn't find what I considered a definite answer. I'm sure I'll have a better idea once I get into the game and have a closer look at the financials.

Either way, thanks for your help Riverman.

CB - I've been asking "newbie" questions for two full seasons now, and they haven't kicked me out (yet). You came to the right place

I still don't understand a lot of this either. How much does a new stadium...or stadium reconfig cost? Currently I am at 63 fan interest and have sold out every game, every year from what I can figure.

                            I need some more seats.
