Hello and welcome to the Brewers League Baseball Championship pre-game show!
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
I’m your host with the most Adrian Karsten and I’m here to preview the 1986 BLB Championship series.
<o:p></o:p>
As we all know, 1986 has been a challenging year. Though fear not sports fans as I’m here to tell you the Championship series between the Windy City Playboys and those furry pigs from the west the Los Lunas Javelinas is shaping up to be quite the doozy.
<o:p></o:p>
Pitching will be the name of the game as both <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Windy</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">City</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> and Los Lunas have bona fide aces. With <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Windy</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">City</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> you can basically take your pick from their entire starting staff; for Los Lunas Donato Guardamagni is their workhorse at the top of the rotation.
<o:p></o:p>
On offense look for <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Windy</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">City</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> to have the edge as Los Lunas proved to be offensively challenged this past season.
<o:p></o:p>
In terms of post season experience <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Windy</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">City</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> has it in spades over Los Lunas. While Los Lunas did win the inaugural Championship over <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Windy</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">City</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> in 1978; the Playboys went to a record three Championship series in a row at the reopening of the BLB, dropping each series. To be honest, if I was in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Windy</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">City</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>’s shoes, and I didn’t win the championship this year, I’d probably kill myself.
<o:p></o:p>
So that’s it for the pre game. Will <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Windy</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">City</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> be debuting their own ‘Super Bowl Shuffle’ video at the end of this series or will those scrappy pigs from the desert pull another upset and take home their second BLB Championship?
<o:p></o:p>
Only time will tell.
<o:p></o:p>
This has been Adrian Karsten saying goodnight from the SGN sports desk.
Up next, Matlock the fresh new series that <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">America</st1:place></st1:country-region> just can’t get enough of!
