Well that finishes off the most unlikely of seasons. Hartford manages to clinch the Wild Card with one week left in the season. Considering we never were even close before and very young, pretty happy about the season. Been struggling down the stretch though, and the offense is hurting. We're 5-7 against Dallas this season, so anything goes first round.

Post-season Pigs!
It's nice to clinch a week early. I can rest some arms. Lord knows I'm gonna' need some great outings if I'm gonna' do any damage in the playoffs.
Bell successfully converted 3 straight save opportunities this sim. I hope those 3 weeks off helped him clear his mind.

I have the worst manager in the fuckin' league. He's getting demoted following this season. He's made some of the worst late game decisions Ive seen so far in my ownership of this team.
Well anyway, I can't win but I can play spoiler for Philly. I'm tired of their dominance so we'll do everything we can to help out Cali these last two games.

Shannon unloaded on us that last game. It was painful to watch a 5-2 lead disappear into thin air in the 8th inning. I hate my manager becuase he's kept our starters in way too long this year. Especially after they get into trouble.

Yeah I was confused as to why Esser was allowed to pitch to Shannon in the 8th when Shannon had already hit a HR off him earlier in the game.
Also, what was up with the 5 or 6 RP you went through the first game you won 1-0.
I've never seen OOTP use RP's for one out at a time. Very neat to see.California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013

I think it was a combination of injury and strategy based on the hitters. Fritsch was inserted against Shannon in the 8th. McHutcheon is supposed to be our backup closer but he got hurt after the 2nd out. Then Marquetta was inserted.
