Doh, lost Lance for the rest of the year. Decent sim with a split of a 4 game series with Los Lunas and a sweep of Sin City.

Next year could be very interesting.

              3-4 Sim
Lost two of three against Wilmington and split the four-game series with Virginia.

              The Good
-Top prospect Mike Murdock (C) has really flourished at the plate since being the full-time catcher. He is hitting over .300 with a .800+ OPS in August/September.
-The other player to benefit from that move is 1B/C Keita Uchiyama, who has been taking over the at first for struggling Joe Sierra. Uchiyama, after a solid August, is now hitting .282 with a .800 OPS.

              The Bad
-My offense has really struggled since OF Michio Nago went down. Since August 9th (when he got hurt), my team has gone 13-14.
-It seems when Nago went down, CF Larry Fitzsymons was exposed. In August and September, the switch-hitter is batting just .212. He hit .360 in May, .357 in June, and .342 in July.

              The Ugly
-SP Joe Rodriguez, who has been my best this year, missed his last start due to heart palpitations. He misses the start, and my manager decides to pitch the whole game with a gang of relievers. Well, that fails, and I'm sure a bunch of them are really tired.

              Season Outlook
-It is looking rather bleak. Wilmington has closed the gap to just four games and I still have to play six games in the Wildcats house. I think the playoffs are a lock, but I would really like to win the Stout. Beyond that, I think the playoffs could be ugly.

2-5 sim. We're now 10 games out of the Division lead and 10 games out of the Wild Card hunt. I think we need to start winning some games.

                  4-3...was hoping for 7-0!

My A club Camden is one win away from the BLB A Championship. They are up 3-1 against the Socorro Stampede after taking down Seattle 4-2 in the 1st round.

My AAA club Joliet is also up 2-0 in the first round against Portland.

In BLB news Chet Stephens returns from his injury this week and will pitch against Los Alamos.

All three call-ups did a good job with Browning hitting over .350 and Al-Sadat hitting .312. Seagarra went banana hitting 4 homeruns and driving in 10. I really thought he might miss the 100 RBI plateau, but he just put new life in the possibility by getting to 89 in one week.

If these prospects pan out, I'll have a much better hiting team next season. Now, it's about building that staff.

                          Just Shoot Me

That was not a good 4 - 3 sim. Lost young "studdish" RF Phil Septon for the rest of the season. Stupidest injury message I've ever received...He might miss the rest of the season with an 8-month sore knee! WTF?! He might miss the rest of the season? Let's see, it's early September now, so in 8 months that's September, October, and F#*@ing forever! That's the rest of this season and part of next season! FOR A SORE KNEE!!! Pussy.

In case that didn't ruin my evening, there was this...I pulled Carl Bell from the Closer spot because he was on a lousy streak. But all of a sudden he gets a sore shoulder and he has to sit out 1 - 2 weeks. That shows elements of being both a pussy AND a rat-bastard. Therefore, for the remainder of this season, I shall refer to him As Carl "Rat Pussy" Bell.

We played; back-to-back against Hyundai; two of the most screwy games I've ever seen. Closson and Vasquez blow a 3-run lead with one out and no one on in the top of the 9th. My CF ends the game in the bottom of the 9th WATCHING strike three go past him (ala Carlos Beltran). Next game, Hyundai blows a 3-run lead in the bottom of the 12th. The game ends on a wild pitch. I've got a baaad feeling...
