The offense is absolutely falling apart. Since pulling within one game of the wild card, we've gone 8-18. Injuries just absolutely decimated us.

1985 first round pick Raul Perez has really turned it on since returning from an injury of his own down in AA. In four starts since his return, Perez has allowed only four runs and 19 hits while only issuing one walk in 26.2 innings. In that time, Perez has lowered his ERA from 5.56 to 3.71. In 8 starts in A ball at the beginning of the season, Perez posted a 2.00 ERA.

        Holy Unimpressive Batman!

Took 3 from Pawtucket, and gave 3 to Maine. To be fair, Maine earned 2 and my Closer gave away 1. Bastard. Bell has the yips. Gotta' get him (and MacLagan) to a sports psychologist, pronto.

Bats finally showed some life last week: 72/221 (.326) with 17 XBH (8 HR) and 34 R in 6 games. Even Miller and Bendana had a good week at the plate.

It's looking like 1987 will be a stand-pat year for the Furry Pigs. I haven't been able to get out from under Lippincott's $10M+ contract, and Los Lunas will probably not have any money next season to make any significant moves (again!)

I have been wildly impressed with my starters recently. After a slow start they all seem to be finding consistency. I am very underwhelmed by my offense however. 2 runs in 19 innings? I can't keep winning 2-1, 4-2 and 4-3 games.

All-in-all we have had a good stretch but time will tell how we stack up. Another year of middle of the road is our destiny it seems. No winning season to brag about, but not bad enough to get much better through the draft...

EDIT: I finally get a player to earn POTW and he is wearing a Denver uni!

Oh that wonderful Noboa. Loved Denver so much he just couldn't take the uniform off during team pictures. Lots of loyalty there.

Also, can someone tell Maho Anastoclo that he's not supposed to be this good a hitter? I just know he's gonna make me start him next year and he'll hit in the Montero line. (Yes, that's right. We don't have a Mendoza line. We have a Montero line. Go look it up).
