It's not excuses. 80-82 was overachieving for me. I expected that type of season this year. But, I assumed I'd have Harcourt. I'm thinking '88 before I realistically break .500. Unless Wilmington goes into a true rebuild. But, this division is too tough and I have too many hopes to have high expectations.
I think 1987 will be an interesting year in the Stout. Potentially wide-open.
Maybe for you 3, but I think we might be contending for the Co-Commish cup for few years and hopefully getting some young talent moving up through the farm system.

Oh, I must of forgotten about you all the way down there in the cellar.

Well we will be there for a while, so hopefully the cellar is like the basement of my Fraternity House in college: lots of mary jane, bronze, and drunk bitches for all!

Enjoy being a dick through 87 or 88, because you're certainly not getting any younger out there in Washington.
I actually think I will be better in '87 and '88, than I have been in '85 and '86....
But my team is getting old. Sierra hasn't shown up all season. Gonzalez and Chav are probably done in Washington after next season. Grant Lewis is getting older as well.

OK... first of all... sounds like we went to the same school....
Second... you got kind of a bum deal. On one side, you had a pretty remarkable run for an expansion team... but... now you're a few seasons in and you really don't have THAT GUY in your minors. Meanwhile, Batavia got creamed early and often, but at least they have some life in the minors. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....the rub.
