Swept Windy City, but I'm not happy about losing two of three to Los Alamos. Still, gained 2.5 more games on the Bats. We're coming around, finally.

Damn, I had a 3-3 sim but both my competitors took it to Indianapolis with Los Lunas sweeping them and Hyundai taking 2/3. I was hoping that Indy would lay the smack down and I would gain ground this sim. The best laid plans of mice and men...

      Next sim is huge

Well the cold streak that I saw coming is over. 10 game losing streak. But we swept the Bats and are showing signs. Offense is slumping huge w/out Burgett. Gotta sodlier on. Ramirez comes back in a few days and the bullpen is getting a boost.

Gonna be playing some small ball.

Vincent Nino wins IL Player of the Week, but it doesn't matter because we suck anyway. My bullpen is a complete, unmitigated disaster.

Chad Cain, my top pitching prospect in the minors is now out 13 months with a strained shoulder, so I can probably forget about him ever doing anything again. 7 players on my A level team are injured, including my top 3 picks from this years draft. Lovely.

          Not a good sim.

5-2 sim pulls us within one game of the wild card lead.

4 - 3 sim. Extracted some revenge on Indy with a 3-game sweep. STUPID AI hooked Guardamagni TWICE in the 7th when I had the lead! MR Gary Closson promptly blew the save in one of those games.

AAA Call-up SP Lanny Krieger pitched a nice game against The Clowns and earned the win in his 1st BLB start. SP Ron MacLagan must have developed a severe drinking problem because he has been HAMMERED in his last 5 starts.

3-3 but poor Stephens goes 0-2 for the week because he loses the two games 2-1 and 1-0...my offense is pathetic!

Of course, that doesn't involve watching NU....

                    3-3 SIM...what a shock

Sign Franklin to a 2 year extension and he responds with two really decent outings....

Did you really sign him to an extension? Why?

                        *EDIT*

I guess for the deal, why not. You can afford it if you dump him.

I haven't looked at the sim results yet, but after reading that I'm not sure I want to.

It looked like he had a year of arbitration left, but it was possible he wouldn't (I never seem to be able to figure that one out). His arbitration number was around $4.0. I got him for 2 years at 3.2 per. Even if he's just OK... I think it's a good price. Heck, I paid Mike Hinchy $2.25 this season.

Plus, well... I'm not sure who said it before (think it was Riverman)... I do think the game just "decides" sometimes that guys are going to have down years... or down months... or whatever. I think Franklin can still be a good #4/5 if not a little better.
