4-2 sim and we still fall two games further behind Dallas. I definately think I underestimated how solid they truly are.

Woah, wasn't ready for St-Laurent to do that. My old scouts in the old version liked him, but I thought they were crazy. I hung on to him for the hell of it. Beginners luck maybe, but we'll take it.

I keep waiting for Simmonds to turn it around, and it's just not happening.

His ratings are solid, he's gotta come around. He is bitter about the record as he performs worse when the team is down. But his numbers are still godly.

3 - 3...Swept Davenport then swept by Dallas. Can't even bring myself to write "Around The Horn", I'm so annoyed. 1B, 2B and SS combined are hitting .203. And Cahill, a perennial .300 hitter, has lingered around .250 all season.

                  Bah Humbug!

Hey, I am having enough trouble dealing with the teams I actually play without suffering imaginary sweeps at the hands of teams that I don't. Wait until next year. You'll get your chance then.

Not bad, I outscored my opponents 23 to 22 not counting the 1st inning and I would have been 3-1 with two games in extras with the outcome not determined if the 1st didn't count. Unfortunately it does and I got outscored 14-0 in that inning. Ouch.

I'm looking forward to going onto the road for awhile. At least in those games I'll be assured of being at least even after the first half inning of play.

Speaking of the road/home scheduling; does anyone understand why the schedule is so strange in that regard. I've now played 47 home games against 23 on the road and I think this was the second year in a row that was like that for me. I guess it works to my advantage, though, since I get in more home games before the fans realize how bad the team is and stop showing up.

Also, I noticed that I started the season against Philly and Cali the same as last year. Does the same schedule just repeat year after year, with the exception of the inter-league rotation? I hope not as I don't relish the thought of facing Aurillo opening day for the rest of his career. I don't think I've beaten him even once since he became good.
