  • 40% done... surprises, all-stars and Windy City

So we're about 42% done with the season so far and I thought it'd be a good time to take stock of what's happening around the league in 1986.

Feel free to post your thoughts on your team as well as other happenings around the league.

Who do you think will be an all-star this year, and who do you think takes each division now that you have seen start to play out?

    I'll go with...

    DL:
    Maine
    Los Lunas
    Dallas
    WC: Mississippi

    IL:
    Wilmington
    Windy City
    Philadelphia
    WC: Carolina

    DL MVP:
    Roger Morgan - DAL

    IL MVP:
    Dante Geake - WIN
    California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013

    Porter Division Champions:

    , 2000
    Import League Wild Card: 2001, 2003, 2004

Linty, that's a bold prediction. My team will be 20 games below .500 soon enough. We've been lucky as hell so far.

      DL:
      Maine
      Los Lunas
      Dallas
WC: Hartford (solid team all-around, lots of good young talent)

      IL:
      Washington
      Windy City
      Philly
WC: Wilmington (still a stacked offense, will make a run soon)

      DL MVP:
      Everardo Gremades- PIT

      IL MVP:
      Dunmore Theodore- WC

          Domestic League

          Ale: Maine
          Lager: Los Lunas
          Pilsner: Dallas
          WC: Indy

          Import League

          Stout: Wilmington
          Bock: Windy City
          Porter: Philly
          WC: Washington

          DL Stout Slugger: Johnny Buzzell
          DL Pale Ale: Denver Brode*

          IL Stout Slugger: Dani Alvarez
          IL Pale Ale: Dunmore Theordore*

          * - MVP

Things to Watch in the last 60%
          - Windy City will push the league record in Wins
          - Wilmington will go crazy in the 2nd half and win the stout by 6 games
          - Hartford will dip
          - Dani Alvarez will chase 50 HRs
          - Dante Geake will not be able to shake the injury bug
          - Batavia's Nakazo 'Chuckwagon' Sasaki comes out and wins the IL Refreshing New Brew after playing the first 40% of the season in the minors
          - One self indulgent one... watch out for Dale O'Hegarty making a push for IL Stout Slugger. He's not a big bopper like Alvarez or a guy who's going to hit .370... but he's going to have a line that is hard to ignore.
          The Great One!

          To many rings to count...
