Is there a better prospect in the BLB than Hector Carbajal? Since coming to the Syracuse organization in 1984, Carbajal has posted these numbers:

      84 A Ball: .714 OBP, 1.048 OPS
      84 AA Ball: .432 AVG, 1.123 OPS
      85 AA Ball: .425 AVG, 1.102 OPS
      86 AAA: .614 SLG, 1.007 OPS

On top of that, his fielding ratings are an 8 at 2B and an 8 at 3B.

Oh yeah, we had a 2-5 sim.

Bad sim, at least the team had 2 wins this week. It's going to be another long season :)

Wow...I didn't think we'd be this bad. Sad thing is there is no hope in sight. Stephens and Sasaki look to be great pitchers down the road but there are no offensive threats what so ever.

4-3 which is more than I had hoped for, but lost LaRochelle for the season. That is really disappointing considering he had a 2.35 ERA so far this year. In his place Joe Soca did get a start throwing 5 innings and giving up one run. His arms going to fall off in another couple weeks.

We also got no hit, my bats are completely dead and Im not sure how we've pulled this smoke and mirrors record so far with no one hitting.

Wow, wasn't expecting all of this. Took all 3 from Pitt, then went on to win 3 of 4 from Maine, opening a 4 game lead in the division. Scoring the most runs per game (6.0), while only giving up 4.3 a game. Can't find much to complain about right now besides a guy or two. Magic number is now 140.

EVERY loss we have this year is a one run game. We're 0-6 in one run games.

If we even split that we're in first. Either way we're in the hunt. If we can ever figure out how to win a close game we'll be pretty good.

Yeah, I had a bad, bad feeling about this week.

I still don't get Morgantown. They just own us.

The absense of Harcourt is really starting to show through. I had low, low expectation for this season going in because of pitching... pitching has been a little better than expected. The bats have completely shut down after Week 1. Josh Poling is playin' and O'Hegarty has been OK... but the rest of the team has been pretty rough. Danny Nelson actually has managed to have an OBP lower than his BA. That's talent. Kid has 0 BBs in 19 games... good thing he hits HRs.

My minors are playin' pretty well though. In fact, my Single A affiliate is 12-1. All three levels are over .500. Pretty meaningless big picture.... but... historically... even my minors have been losers. I've still never made a playoff at any level. Culture of losing!

Nice to see Dani Alvarez woke up just in time for us to visit. Bastard.

2-5 was not what I was expecting. Add to that that it was against Davenport and Windy City and it becomes nightmarish. Brudenell goes down and Tardif was still on a pitch count (oops) so I can see what went wrong, but it don't help!

I'm moving his piece of shit ass down to 6th in the lineup so he stops making me look bad.

                              6-1

Offense and pitching finally clicked at the same time this week. My favorite stat though is the 40 BB's we earned. Good stuff fellas.
