CF Rex Knight
With Pete Miller going on the DL for five weeks, McGee will slide being the plate. That will allow the fragile Hiraki to DH, leaving a gaping hole in center.
Enter Rex Knight. The biggest prospect in Clown's history, we expect big things from Rex. I was tempted to bring him north with us out of Spring Training, but decided to let him test his skills against AAA. He aced that test, and now its time for his final challange.
So it begins.

I was just about to post about bringing Carbajal up but I can't do that to Sexy Rexy. He can have his sim in the spotlight. Good luck to him as long as you are behind me in the division.Charlotte Knights - OSFL
Syracuse Slammers - BLB
South America - 1984 WBC Runner Up

With the trade of Joe Negron and the demotion of Errol Blue... Virginia is bringing up Artie Montgomery and Jayson McQueen.
Mongomery could be a sercivible arm in the future.
McQueen will likely be our Closer in the next 2-3 yearsThe Great One!
To many rings to count...

Los Lunas has called up two players this season, and more may be coming.
SP Lanny Krieger - Thus far the youngster has been a much needed shot in the arm for the Javelinas' rotation. In 4 starts he is 3 - 0, with an ERA, WHIP and OAVG of 2.35, 0.98 and .186, respectively. He has moved out of his apartment in Bolder City and is looking for a house in Los Lunas.
OF Chan Salguero - Now patrolling center field for the Furry Pigs, Salguero is doing his best to help Javelinas fans forget about Gary Lippincott. In fact, with Salguero and Petty on the big-league roster, last season's starting CF Dave O'Brien may be out of a job as well. In 18 games, Salguero is carrying a line of .329/.400/.562 which includes 3 HR and 11 RBI from the leadoff spot.

After about 50 injuries, mainly to OF Curt Halpern, we called up #1 prospect Hector Carbajal last sim. Carbajal started 5 games at 3B and while he only posted a .190 avg, Carbajal had the pleasure of hitting his first BLB HR. He hit safely in 4 of 5 games as well. I am fairly sure that Carbajal is going to be one of the most dominant hitters in the BLB within 2 years.
After what feels like 50 more injuries this sim, OF Joe Esquivel will make his BLB debut tomorrow night. Esquivel is a former top 100 guy who has just raked everywhere he's been. A former 12th round pick, Esquivel has a career minor league avg of .324 and an OPS of .884. In 1986 he sports a .327 avg with an .893 OPS in just over 200 AAA ABs. He is also Mexican, Linty. Pick him up!
With the call ups of Carbajal and Esquivel our team is pretty much set offensively barring any major injuries or collapses over the next 5 years.Charlotte Knights - OSFL

He actually made his debut at the beginning of the season, but I needed a place to talk about how good he is. In eight starts, he is 2-4 with a 2.59 ERA. My scout has him 3-5-5, and while he doesn't strike many guys out, he keeps the ball down and has a groundball ratio of 72%. He has thrown seven quality starts.
In single-A he had a 4.50 ERA. In double-A he had a 4.50 ERA. In triple-A he had a 3.72 ERA. Might be a better pro than I expected.
I'm shocked he has pitched this well.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

Dana Clifford(P)
21 years old RH, Breux Bridge, LA
Dana was a 9th round pick in the 1984 draft who has fast tracked his way to the majors. After promising showings in '84 and '85 in Orlando(A), he was sent to Camden(AA) in '85. Dana started the '86 season in Camden(AA) but due to a rash of injuries to our pitching staff in Annapolis(AAA) he was promoted to AAA and hasn't looked back.
Clifford has posted a 3-2 record in 16 games(5 starts), with a 2.16 ERA with 31K in 50 innings. He is replacing the recently demoted, Rafael Randez on the active roster.

Denver is calling up three of their top prospects. They have all done well in AAA and the rest of their development is likely to only come from BLB experience. Denver has expected that all three will become starters next season. This is their opportunity to see some BLB action in September.
C Scott Borkholder will get the rest of the primary starts for the season and will take the starting job starting next season. Chet Reed is expected to remain as the backup.
2B Kifel Al-Sadat takes over at 2B for the rest of the season. Longtime starter, Tesina will play a lot of DH and get a nice goodbye from Denver as he will explore the free agent market after this year. Al-Sadat will be the starting 2B next season. Big shoes to fill there.
LF Dane Browning will take over in the outfield. He was one of three OF's taken in the early rounds back in 1983 and now he's getting his chance. Browning has improved his average and OPS every season in the minors. He is an a good defensive player and is expected to man the corner spot for years to come.Denver Bulls
