    • Sorry about that guys. I was gone all day. Thanks for waiting. I set up a list that'll cover the second round if I happen to fall asleep at the wheel.

      • two more picks down. I'm thrilled to have got Helmrich. The top 8 so far are all guys I had in my top 10 this year.

        • And my list is down to 4.

          • I liked both JJ Walker and Jody Shields. My scout actually had Shields rated higher, with a couple of 8's in there. But at the end, JJ had 7's, but was quick on the basepaths, and was a much better fielder. Happy to have gotten him.

            • My scout loved both Walker and Shields. My scout loves everyone though, so who knows.

              • For me, my pick was going to be between Helmrich and Smythe. My scout views them both very similarly with Smyth getting a slight advantage in contact ability and Helmrich a slight advantage in power. I have very little in terms of legitimate OF prospects so this pick was needed. Mahoney made the decision irrelevant by taking Helmrich though ;)

Plus, Smythe is from Long Island. Sentimentality rules

My scout thinks JJ will the greatest to ever play the game. So you're doomed.

                  • I am going to be waiting to see if I can get my CPU up and running before I make a pick. My cpu crashed before I had a chance to really sort through the draft class. If not I will be going full auto by tonight I guess. I have been having so much trouble with the game and my cpu the last few weeks that this offseason has pretty much been a wash anyways...

Shit. Anyone want to swap first round picks?

                      • My scout liked him as well, but I have a new scout this year, so I'm not sure if he's crazy or not.

                        My scout had:
                        Walker :7/8/8/8/5
                        Shields: 7/8/8/7/6

My scout had Smythe as a 3-3-4-4...so you're golden

                          • My scout had Smythe at 4-5-4-4, but had him like 6th in the "draft list" so I have no idea what the real deal is.

Yeah, mine had a serious man crush on Walker. Had him rated as the 2nd best hitter behind Hudson.

Did you mean had him 2nd behind Gabe Kapler?
