Is there any way we can fix these ridiculous ass demands and get salaries back to how they would be in this time period?

I think the salaries are actually working pretty well right now. Guys are demanding a ton of cash and teams won't resign them. There's a lot of $ in the league right now, this is helping balance things out.

I have no f'ing clue why Mike Hinchy was rated as a popular player. Dude wanted $7m+ per for like four years to resign. Not sure what he's smokin'.

Like Clay though, I don't really know, but unlike him I wouldn't be shocked if it turned out I was wrong.

-- Media Contracts are lower now than they were two years ago
-- Less teams have available monies in Free Agency
-- The number of contracts over $20.0 has never been higher
I based my opinion and best guess on those facts... and I wouldn't be shocked if I were wrong, but I also wouldn't be a giant douche like River either way.The Great One!

LOL whatever.
You just wrote above that you would be shocked if you were wrong, now you write that you wouldn't be. All I did was point out how silly you are and somehow I'm the giant douche?
And BTW, media contracts are higher now than two years ago not lower since the low-end ones increased more than the high-end ones went down. You can look it up.Last edited by Riverman; 02-06-2009, 10:00 PM.

(B) Where did I say I'd be surprised if I were wrong? I said "...I'd be shocked if no one was making over say $12.0 if people would be asking for $30.0" It's not a statement on whether or not my opinion is correct... it's a statement on how I think the game is setup. Not to mention the fact that I prefaced it with an "I don't know".
(C) Jeez stop taking yourself so seriously. Do I need to start putting smiley faces on everything so you won't get shitty?
(D) There's still less total money available per team than their was prior to the last expansion. The Great One!
