You set a BLB record for wins.

Only 7 teams had a better record than Batavia...from 65 wins to 80 I'm quite happy with how we played this year.

We would really like a big bat in the off-season though...Finbow led our team with 21 HR's and the next two had an awe inspiring 12 each.

That I didn't know. I figured Maine had that record still.

Just more pressure to your team that has never shown up in the playoffs.

              You are the Seattle Mariners.

Batavia was one of the best stories of '85 that no one knew about (despite your thread). Batavia passed Morgantown (or as I like to call them... the "Village of Smoke and Mirrors").

                  They sorta did last year...ish.

Grant Lewis always took a huge shit in the playoffs for me. Abe did as well.

He did alright for Los Lunas, so maybe he'll revert back to that.

He's got a 21.00 ERA for me, though.

lol nice... smoke and mirrors. Being Morgantown, there could definably be smoke. Not to sure about the mirrors though... maybe beer kegs.

Matt should have been the owner of Batavia all along, he has done a good job with them. I can't remember the other guys name, but he made the expansion draft very difficult to get through. He would never email or respond to my emails or PMs till the very end of the draft. It seemed as though he was hardly on the site. Anyways congrats to other expansion team for a great season.

We've been lucky with 4 very good expansion owners that fit right in with the originals (and the "almost originals" like me and Smear).

I believe the mirrors are there for the blow.

EDIT - Yep, .469 in 1978 and .466 in 1980. He had a .483 OBP in 1979 but didn't qualify that year because he was hurt.

Odd. Kellum doesn't register as the top OBP guy of all time according to the stats.

Did his stats fall off the leaderboard?

Cause it says Gremades is the new top OBP guy at .465.
