Not a terrible sim. Went 1-3 against Maine and 2-1 against Pitt.
SS Hamilton Remy won Rookie of the Month for September batting .301, combined with Juan Ortiz they've won it every month since June, except for July.
I was really hoping to finish above .500 this year, but that didn't happen due to an epicly bad September. At least I finished ahead of Hartford.

EDIT - Yep, .469 in 1978 and .466 in 1980. He had a .483 OBP in 1979 but didn't qualify that year because he was hurt.

oh well... finished 3 games back. not terrible considering at one point, i was 10 games back. def. excited for next year. 3 solid starters, a dependable pen, and i can't imagine Keppel has completely lost it. hopefully i can pick up a bat or 2 during the offseason.

Well, we certainly shit the bed the final week... swept by Pitt, split 4 games with Maine, thereby completing the worst season in franchise history by 2 games.
So, what did we learn?
1. We need a big bat. Pretty much lose every game where we give up 4 or 5 runs. Send your people my way.
2. We have a lot of money to spend....a lot in the terms of Hartford money.
3. Pawtucket is a trash heap....which is actually true.
4. Ugh.

Not a bad way to end the season. Loved to have won the Stout, but I definitely prefer to play Philly rather than Carolina, so I really can't complain.
Abran Lanbin, who is retiring at seasons end, hit for the cycle against Virginia in a 12-0 SMASHING of Virginia. Feels good to take 3 of 4 from Virginia, preventing them their first .500 season ever. In his stint with Washington, the 39-year-old hit 15 HRs and 56 RBIs in just 86 games.
It's also really good to see SP Joe Rodriguez pitching well to finish out the season. The guy is a wildcard. He can pitch a shutout or he can last 2 innings.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
Washington Bats - 1979-2013
