Should of gone 5-2, or 6-1... but lost two to Batavia to close to sim.
We'll take the 4-3. Anytime we get a winning sim in California, we're happy.California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013

Damn Wilmington kicked our ass. Injured 2 of our best players and swept us. We are in a complete downward spiral. With 3 of our best players out for the rest of the way we will be seeing what some of the young guys can do(which is probably suck).OSFL: Lake County Extreme 2008-2028, 2010 Champions

4-3 this week. Swept Morgantown (3-0) and had an up and down series with Washington (1-3) with 3 close games and 1 blowout. Nate "The Skull" Magness got back on track as he seems to like pitching against the Bats.
Pulling away from the Mohawks finally has me feeling a little bit better.
My goal is to finish the season as the best team in the IL to not make the playoffs. I know that seems like setting the bar low, but I'm already ahead of where I expected to be. Can't complain. The Great One!

4-3 sim
Mac Avery continues to pitch really well. If we make the playoffs and he, Guaina, and Geake continue to pitch as well as they should, things could turn out nicely.
Ruben Sanchez had a great debut, hitting .360/.429/.640 in 7 games. He also added 2 doubles, a triple, a homer, and 6 RBI.
AAA Fort Wayne was knocked out of the playoffs, so I'll be able to add some guys from there, but I'm not really sure I need to. I mostly need some hitting, but I dont have much in AAA.
Rex Knight thinks he's ready to make the jump from AA, but he's not going anywhere until at least half a season at AAA. And thats being optimistic.

More thoughts on my 4-3 sim.
I hate how this game handles tired players. Case in point... On Saturday's game vs. Batavia, the game sat my starting 2B and SS. No problem, every player needs a rest now and then.
Of course the game somehow goes into extra innings. Since my manager seems to be pinch runner happy, the game substitued two OF'ers for the back up 2B and SS.
When the next inning began, much to my shock, my back up RF, and LF were now manning 2B and SS.
I know I have my 2B and SS not to play when tired... but this is insane. Of course, I end up losing the game as those two guys have no range whatsoever.
In other news:
Shannon continues to rake. Since returning, he's gone 35/96 -.364, 5HR's/15RBI's, 10BB and 17 runs. I hope he's here to stay. I think he'll be a solid #3 hitter for us, for the foreseeable future. Currently on a 23 game hitting streak as well!
Mark Steward continues to shine. He just had his 23 game hitting streak snapped against Batavia... but honestly, I couldn't be happier with the guy. I never imagined when I traded for him that he'd have put up a line of .316/.384/.564 for 29HR's and 77RBI's. Well worth the talent I traded away for him.
Joe Toapanta has put up back to back starts of 8 shutout innings. Hopefully this is a sign that he may be turning it around. Add in the fact that he's given me a QS in his last eight games, and I'm really happy with what he's given us these past two months.
Francios Dupius has also been a solid addition to the Kodiaks. He's put up 21 steals, 33XBH, and 45 walks. Can't ask too much more from the guy.California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013
