Wa-hoo...my AA Kansas City T-Bones swept Mohave and took home the AA Championship! Sasaski finished the year 12-2 with a 2.78 ERA. Maybe we do have some pitchers for the future.

EDIT...we also went an amazing 5-1...2-1 vs. Washington and 3-0 vs. Windy City.

Hartford is well on their way to quite possibly their worst record since league inception. That is currently held by the 1983 team that went 70-92....need 16 wins in the last month to hold off that record.

The Zombie goes down with a season ender, but will be back to start next years campaign. Look for a few September callups this year, including at least one of the stud SP's waiting in the wings.

Maine allows little children in their locker room.

I don't know how a guy can be so damn unlucky. He hasn't taken a ratings hit, and as you said, all of his other stats are pretty damn good.

When I first read that, I thought it said 'chicken'. I though you were talking about those little cornish hens or whatever.

After re-reading, it makes more sense. I mean, that just doesn't make any sense, but the 80's were just a different time, I guess.

While he'd still be having a down year, Lang's expected ERA is actually 4.38 which is 1.21 points lower than his real 5.59 ERA.

To me, that's just the definition of bad luck, and probably a sign that he's giving up a lot of XBH's. Which would explain why even though his stats are staying the same, the teams are scoring more runs.

And I'm pretty sure that's the reason. His OPS against is up .066 (.749 to .683) over his career average.

It's the extra base hits that are killing him.
