2-4 sim. Four games going to extra innings. My bullpen sucks.
I have the same feeling about this team that I did about last years team. The playoffs are highly likely, but when I get there I'm going to get dominated.
Wilmington Wildcats- 2057- Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041 Washington Bats - 1979-2013
3-3 sim... swept by Dallas, then came back and swept Sin City (that THAT Brad!)
Some good stuff came out of this week:
- Newly acquired Jeff Flynn had a nice first start - 8IP, 6H, 7K, 0BB, which to my team is already worth a 6th rd pick
- Jessie Burchette, who I've been waiting forever to wake up, was Player of the Week posting a healthy line of .500/3/7 in 24ABs...bring his season average to .285
- Scored double digits in runs for a game!
- AAA pitching continues to excel, with Rice, Lindsay, Combs, and Rivera all getting ready to move up
Some not good things to come out of this week:
- We still suck overall
Damn, tied again for the lead for th co-commish cup
Luis Miguel Gutierrez will make his BLB debut this sim, for those interested. He was getting bored in AAA and is now much happier. He was doing a fine job there. Let's see how he performs now
My newly acquired CF (Iliquez) demanded to be traded the moment he arrived in the clubhouse. What a D**che-Bag. I'm still pining for Parnell...
Dinos lose their 2B for 8 months due to a concussion...Sounds more like a decapitation!
My Set-up man, Elvio Vasquez, prevented a sweep of the Slammers. I need to move him to middle relief. What he really needs is a kick in the ass.
Thanks to the Whalers, after a 3 - 3 sim the Furry Pigs find themselves up 4 games on the Gamblers (thanks Whale!). This lead will be short-lived as we have 3 games against Maine in the next sim.
Small Ball...It's what's for dinner (in Los Lunas).
4-2 but battling injury bugs again... Kang (4w) and Nelson (1w) got knocked out last sim, Josh Poling (1w) this sim. I'm about 1 sim away from giving up on winning the Stout... though it's likely over already. However, I'm 6 games back in the WC with 7 head-to-head games with Washington left and a pretty fair road the rest of the way. Baltimore losing Latham for 8 weeks likely closes the door and locks the #2 Stout team into the WC.
"The Skull" wins again moving his record to 15-5. He leads the IL in wins (tied for the most in the BLB) and is 2nd in the IL in ERA.
