Man, I just love how the #1 prospect team from just a year ago suddenly can't play baseball when it counts. A pitcher who never once got hurt just got hurt for 3 months oh and we got swept by one of the worst teams in baseball. Top 10 draft picks who suddenly lose they're second pitch? Were almost doubled in scouting $$$$ and Intl part is think 30% and NO free guys some other teams seem to enjoy? Drafts are basically high school players which THATS NOT REAL.

Sorry its been a decade and too much going wrong ALWAYS. Is there strange tricks that are suddenly needed? Does appear to be that way.

Its not enjoyable at all. Team building should be draft . trade get solid young players and grow to be least solid hopefully some Allstars. Everything we do seems to backfire even if "on paper" you know this should of worked.

I'll play out this nonsense this season, but like to say this is it for me. Its just not the same game anymore. Let someone else take a whack at this team cuz clearly the game has past me by. Hopefully they are a bit more lucky. For my part I won't make anymore trades like them to have multiple picks coming up and assuming a few prospects to boot.

    Regards Funclown.

Hopefully you change your mind. As for the 'Free Guys', I think this part is clearly broken. All anecdotal, but I've talked to enough GMs who spend little to nothing and find unbelievable talents and some teams that spend a whole lot more, and seem to find no one. I also think it has affected the draft, which is now, even more difficult to rebuild from, as it is a lot more random than years past. It then makes it that more more difficult to rebuild if drafting is more difficult and then you're completing against other franchises that have had the gift of an international find, while your Top 10 pick turns to 'meh.

Kobayashi won the New Brew a few years ago and now he’s unplayable. Schnur made an all star team at 22 and now he can’t hit anymore. The game is cruel.

Let's look at the Top 50 prospects in the game via free guys:

            1st International Hitter: #23...then #35, #42, #46
            1st International Pitcher: #5...then #19 and #44

So 6 out of the Top 50 are international "free guys" and "gifts"

Who's pitcher #58...Lamar Peralta...discovered out of Brazil by Pawtucket.

Now let's look at the Top 50 prospects in the game by 1st round pick:

            1st Round Pick Hitter: #11, #12, #13, #14, #15, #17, #24, #27, #38, #39, #45, #49, #50
            1st Round Pick Pitcher: #3, #4, #6, #7, #8, #22, #25, #26, #30, #32, #33, #36, #40, #43

So 27 out of the Top 50 are 1st round picks, many more are 2nd and 3rd round. The #1 prospect hitter was an 8th round pick. There are several guys who were undrafted. I would say drafting seems to be working out okay.

            ________________________________

            Looking at Pawtucket.

            - Pitcher that has never been hurt: I assume Rayburn. Injured twice in 2040. Once out several weeks with an elbow injury. Injuries happen to almost everyone. It sucks. Ask Prez this season.
            - I can't find a Top 10 pick who lost a pitch. Holt from 2040 looks like he could still be a stud starter. Lawson looks amazing...and was traded along with a pick, stud 1B and RP to LAD for 'Wildcard'.
            - As far as young guys...you literally have potential New Brews and All-Stars sitting in AAA. Olvera is 25...hits .214 and gets sent back to AAA? Montay Kim is a starting BLB center fielder at almost 24 years old sitting in AAA. Copland is 24 and should be in the BLB. Austin is 24 and should be in the BLB. Sigal is 25 and sitting in AAA. The days of sitting a guy in AAA and letting him cook until he's fully developed are over. You have all those guys in the BLB this season and yes...you might struggle...but next season and the season after you having a winning record.

You've done a great job building a team with some veteran acquisitions and draft...now let them all play. You could be really good the next 5-10 seasons. If you want to step down that is fine, but someone else is going to really enjoy the youth combined with some older studs.

Thanks for the research Matt... I'll quietly back out of the room now.
