Seattle sweeps vs. Maine but wins just one of three in Pittsburgh. The Bock now has a three way tie (kinda) between the Pilots, Kodiaks and Dinos. The Bock is for reals. Five of the top eight in the Power Rankings, including #1, #2, #4 and #5.

Rookie Travon Jones won his start after pitching eight innings of one run ball. He did give up 10 hits but the defense got him out of a few jams. He will be up and down throughout the season but a promising first start. RP Omari "My Name Is Willie" Beamon pitched 6.1 innings of one run ball with 10 Ks. He's pacing: 26-4, 2.13 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, 160.2 IP, 209 K and 4.6 WAR.

The BLB gods have a funny sense of humor. 2B Laurence Youmans strained his hamstring on 5/11 and will miss three weeks. However, we signed 2B Pat Berman this sim just three days later, and he will immediately slide into that role.
