We swept Carolina in the only series of the week, bringing the division lead to 12 games over Batavia, who's now in 2nd. After getting swept in 4 games by California, we've now won 9 games in a row, playing some of our best ball of the year. Not a lot to say about 3 games, but we only gave up 3 runs in the series, with the highlight being a walkoff 3-run HR by Zuniga in game 1. We've taken over the top spot in the IL in most pitching categories after the strong performance this week.

All-Stars from the Bats were Zuniga, Nunes, Hartman and Theisen. Maybe you could argue that one of my other pitchers should have been there as well, or even Aden Grant at catcher given how bad that position has been in the IL this year.

Another solid, albeit short, week in California. Alex Lezama suffered a slight injury, but will hopefully miss very little time post all star break.

We had Swaney, Welborn (who's been brutal), Jacobi, Daniel, and Robertson make the all star team for the IL. For Jacobi and Robertson, hopefully it's the first of many!

        Thanks Matt!

Seattle goes 2-1 hosting the Dinos before the break. In the mid summer classic, Seattle OF Dave Hoyt takes home the POTG in a 5-2 win over the DL.

The Pilots have a three game lead in the Bock but host second place California and then Washington comes to town. Not expecting a strong showing.

Down in Double-A, "Two Ton" Morris has hit a HR in three consecutive games as he shakes off the 8-9 months of rust. I don't really have a spot for him but the Pilots rank just 10th in the IL in HRs, so we will need to find a way to get his power in the lineup.
