    Thanks Brad!

3-3 sim against Windy City and Batavia.

We should stay in the thick of the Wild Card race but this team isn't very good. We are already +3 on PYT and I'm not sure what we do well. The bullpen rates well and we have some solid hitters but we aren't scoring runs, we don't play good defense, both the rotation and bullpen ERA is subpar. If we don't turn it around soon, the manager might be on the chopping block.

I'm calling up catcher David Tripp. He probably should have made the roster out of ST but we wanted to give 26-year-old TJ Ellison a chance. Ellison doesn't play defense and has hit .182/.418 in 34 ABs. Probably too small of a sample size but Tripp gives a much needed patient batter in the lineup.

IFA SP Demetrius Insua is pitching at a league average rate but he has faced some tough competition: CAL, CAR, MON, WAS, and BAT. I'm hopeful he can re-emerge as a Top 20 SP. Otherwise this FA signing appears to be a massive bust.

Another week... Another shit show in California... I think the lineup needs some tweaking... In our 10 losses, 8 times we've been help to 2 runs or less...

The Josh Wright show continues at least, and the ML invitee is hitting 0.324 with 7 home runs and 11 RBI in TEN games!!

A fine week for the Bats as we sweep Batavia and then take 3/4 against Denver. That vaults us back into first place in the very competitive Stout race. The Bulls spoiled our perfect week to end our series, but we did well.

Really good performance from the lineup, with a .967 OPS as a team for the week. In 7 games, we had 34 extra-base hits (11 2B, 7 3B, 16 HR). It was a really good effort by the whole group, though our two top hitters Nunes and Zuniga had really big weeks. We lead the IL in almost all of the hitting categories through the first month of the season.

The only negative is a minor DTD injury picked up by 1B/DH Blake Hartman. The rookie hasn't been great this year, and my depth chart is keeping Zuniga out of the lineup a little more than I'd like, so Hartman's going to have to pick it up to avoid losing AB's.

Despite going 5-9 in the past two sims, we are still one game back. Good times in the Bock.
