    Thanks Brad!

A good week in California, but we still have Seattle hot on our tail. Next week could decide the division, as we play Carolina and Batavia, and Seattle plays Denver and Philadelphia.

The Turell Morris saga continues as he hits 0.182 in AAA, meanwhile Drew Ansell hits 0.409 with 3 doubles, 1 home run, and drives in 7, in his place... Likely a very small sample size, but here's to hoping it continues!

Our AA team is down 1-0 as our only minor league team in the playoffs.

      Thanks Brad!

A 5-2 week (2-1 WC, 3-1 NY) wasn't enough to keep Seattle from moving a game further back of California. Can't complain too much as the Blues and Knights are Wild Card contenders, both series were on the road and two of the wins were in extra innings. As Paul mentioned, next week is a big one. If the Pilots find themselves further back in the Bock standings, we probably start resting and getting the rotation set up for a 3-game Wild Card series. If we can gain a game (or two), the final 10 games will be really exciting.

Rookie OF sensation Richie "Powder" van Luik tied the Pilots record for SB in a season with 37, a mark also held by Tom Stark and Hisanobu Maeda. Pretty incredible as Powder did it in just 84 games. I've never had a player who can run like this. Dating back to my Washington days, the best I ever had was OF Marv Bowers who stole 56 in 159 games. He's really been the catalyst for the second half surge. When he made his BLB debut, the Pilots were 27-24 with a pedestrian offense.

SP Erik Harrell threw two back to back gems against Toronto and New York. The veteran celebrated his 35th birthday in between the two starts where he combined for 16 IP, 2 ER, 0 BB, and 11 K. He tops out at 91 MPH on the gun, which according to my scout, only three BLB SPs throw slower than that.

Powder looks amazing! He's also getting to be a rare gem in the BLB, as he doesn't seem to mind hitting against both lefties and righties. Good thing you spent the winter of 2031 skiing in the Netherlands! This race is going down to the wire, I'm thinking!
