6. CONTRACTS

• A Team Option must contain a minimum buyout equal to:
  • (A) The difference between the highest guaranteed year salary and the amount of the team option (provided the option year $$ > the highest guaranteed year $$),
  • (B) 10% of the amount of the team option,
  • Whichever amount is greater.
• Vesting option years are not allowed
• Only one Team Option may be used per contract, and it must be in the last year of the contract. This prevents people from stacking Player Options after the Team Option.
• Players cannot be signed to contract extensions until after they have received their second arbitration contract. Players become eligible for contract extensions once they have two "Received a 1-year contract worth a total of $xx through arbitration." in their player history.
• For each contract year, the $$ value of an individual season must be at least 50% of the highest guaranteed season value

Not a bad sim... We give one away to Washington, only to steal one from them two nights later.

Ramos pitching his ass off in the rotation, while the rest of the rotation has been decidedly mediocre... In his first year in the rotation, Jayden Adams seems to be settling in to the starter's role... Hopefully the Alston, Borchers, and Rhodes start to pitch a little better to help them out.

The offence is also starting to come around as Morris continues to get a little more consistent each week.

Just trying to get through our slog of 40 games in 41 days.

5-2 for the Bats. A sweep of NYK, followed by a split of 4 games at California. The good week sends us into first place by ourselves. Ever so slowly, we're beginning to show signs of life at the plate. Given that we're 8th in runs scored in the IL and 5th in runs allowed, we're really fortunate to have the record we do. It's not likely going to be sustainable to be 9-3 in one-run games and 4-1 in extra innings. Unfortunately, Zuniga's DTD injury isn't healing so he may be headed for the DL, but he hasn't really gotten off to the start I was hoping for.
