Thanks Matt! What a nice, socially responsible, way to spend the day!

Another totally 'meh sim for California though, as we continue to leak oil to the finish line.

      In other news...

Everyone's favourite A team, Moose Jaw, knocked off the heavily favoured team from Reading to take home the A crown!!

        Thanks Matt.

The Pilots go 2-1 at Phoenix and hosting Los Angeles putting the Bock lead at 5.5 games. Washington had a strong week and holds the #1 WC spot by two games over Seattle.

The most encouraging performance was from SP Mike (VP) Ponce. The 25-year-old has been really bad this year after going a modest 3-6, 4.45 and 1.33 last year in 64 IP. This year I thought he had a chance to emerge as the #3 SP but on July 3rd he was 1-6 with a 7.13 ERA in 12 starts. After being sent down to Triple-A he seems to have found his groove with three decent short starts. This week he went 5.1, 3 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 2 K in a 8-1 win over LAD.

Seattle's Double-A affiliate the Washington Oaks beat the Auburn Venom (WAS) three games to two, in a 5-4 deciding game. In not my typical fashion, this team had no ringers on it for the series and actually no player older than 24. The manager of the club, Del Taylor, had a cup of coffee at the BLB level playing 48 games for the Washington Bats. In just his third season coaching he has won the Double-A title and the Triple-A title last season.

I love that that was a no ringer game... Very exciting!
