    Thanks Matt!

A poor sim for the Pilots but it was expected. Got swept in Batavia (0-3) and then won the series (2-1) at Toronto in a late rally during GM3. Seattle now sits at 63-48 a distant 10.5 back of California, and holding a slim lead over Carolina, Baltimore and Washington for the #1 WC. The playoffs are in sight but this is one of the worst pitching teams I've had in a long, long time. The team ERA of 4.42 is the worst we have had since 2020, when the Pilots posted a slightly worse 4.45 ERA on a 44-118 team.

Down in rookie league, the Cleveland Bobcats went a league best 65-23. The Bobcats won three RL titles in a row 2030, 2031 and 2032. Excited to see what this group of kids can do.

    Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
    Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
    Washington Bats - 1979-2013

Your minor league dominance is even more impressive than your BLB dominance!

Imagine if you took Hamada's stats out of those numbers... Yikes!

I have Hamada and McGuffin, my closer. Besides them, we have to win at the plate.

Sounds like the perfect rotation for a playoff series... Hamada in game 1, 4, and 7... Then get one other win!

Having two effective pitchers is perfect?

Seems to be in the OOTP universe.
I once lost a 5-game series where the same opposing pitcher won all 3 games.

It’s still much more optimal to have depth. Semantically speaking “perfect” just ain’t it in this case.

                  For sure.
But I think Paul's point is that it's not the most important attribute of a playoff pitching staff.
I make the mistake all the time of confusing OOTP as a baseball game. It's a video game in the guise of a baseball sim.
There's many flaws and unrealistic portions that would never work in the real world. Stupid me still tries to set lineups that you'd see in a real-world sense, when many times you can go with ridiculous setups like a 3-pitcher rotation, or signing a future HOF player, who's made millions, to sit on your AA or AAA teams.

I don’t know anyone named baseball. Furthermore, I am not aware of any anthropomorphic baseballs, named Baseball. I think if anyone were to know Baseball, that would be exploiting the game. I hate gaming the system. I’d like for the league to remain a meritocracy instead of success being a result of who you know.

Secondly, I question the use of a cherry on the cover. Why is there a number three inside the cherry? Why are cherries supposed to connote youth? Why are cherries used instead of, say, grapes? I personally find grapes to be superior and think you’re dumb if you don’t like grapes. If you don’t like grapes, I will condescend you. I also think cherries game the financial system and we should enact several rules to confront this issue.

At this point you’re probably thinking, wow, why is he rambling on for paragraphs about stuff that doesn’t matter? I know I am. But your views on Mr. Baseball and the use of cherries on a book cover were too egregious to ignore. I also have to type a lot of paragraphs so everyone knows how important I am.
