2036 Regular Season SIM 3 Complete - Next SIM Mon 2/10
Seattle posts a 3-3 record (1-2 vs. SDR, 2-1 @ MIA) to find themselves at 9-10. The IL right now is California, Batavia dominating with eight other teams in the 11 to 9 win range. We are pretty fortunate to even be in that group as four of our nine wins were by just one run and are 3-1 in extra innings. Unexpectedly, this team is probably the opposite of what I thought it would be. Seattle is 11th or 12th in the IL in almost every batting category but 4th in ERA (3rd in SP ERA) and 1st in zone rating and defensive efficiency. If you had told me we would be 9-10 at this point, I would have guessed it was because of a lack of defense and pitching, not hitting.
Quite a few injuries this sim....
Down in (AA) SP Bradley Beehn has pitched two really good games and the leagues #1 prospect might be on the fast track to the BLB. He's only 21-years-old but we put more money into Player Development the past two seasons than any that I can remember. He will get at least another couple weeks at Double-A but could find himself in the Pilots rotation if we need a boost in the 2nd half.
The Pilots also just cut about 10 players that were ST-invites but didn't find a minor league job. Check the transaction log next sim and you can find some AAAA-types.
