It increases the player's popularity and therefore fan interest gets a bump. For me Harcourt was already Extrememly Popular nationally and locally... but Nelson and Poling both took bumps to Extrememly (Locally) and Magness, who for no logical reason has always been Fair, jumped up to Popular locally.

That's why there is always a distinct advantage to having your lesser known players make the team.

      I see.

Next question for the positional ranking report for prospects. Is the organizational ranking ibasically how many good prospects you have at the position and the overall ranking is your best prospect's overall ranking in the league?

Baltimore Bulldogs - BLB since '84
      - Porter Champs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12

The organizational ranking is basically how all your prospects at that position stack up as a collective unit. Overall is the combination of "Current" and "Future".

          The Good:
Joe Seagarra. After posting 16 HR 88 RBI seasons in both 1983 and 1984, he now has 15 HR and 55 RBI with two games before the break. He's in the top five in BLB in batting average. He continues to be one of the leaders in HBP, Sac Flies, and XBH.

Oh, and this past week he batted .435 with 2 HR and 5 RBI. Good for a 1.283 OPS. This guy is slowly becoming the biggest star in Denver. Move over Zamarida and Tesina.

          The Bad:
You mean despite this entire season? Well, the pitching staff posted a 3.91 ERA but gave up 29 Runs and 23 were earned. So the defense gave up 6 unearned runs.

          The Ugly:
Joe Berges. His week ERA probably doesn't fit in this space. He lost two games in the ninth inning and then proceeded to give up another three runs in an 8-4 win over Pawtucket. He's now blown 4 saves this season in 18 opportunities and is on his way back to AAA.

One of our 1985 third round picks, MR Tajo Hernandez, with 5 Single A games under his belt expects to be "playing in majors." Eaaaaasssy there Tajo.
            Charlotte Knights - OSFL
            Syracuse Slammers - BLB
South America - 1984 WBC Runner Up

I've been hanging around near .500 and not exactly sure how I am doing it. One would think that if Tim O'Fay was third on your team in HRs and he'd only been with you half the year, you'd be in a world of hurt. Llombart and Sato have been my only two offensive threats and I don't even have any high OBP guys to hit in front of them, so I don't know what is going on.

I guess a lot of the credit goes to my two rookie starters, Joe Viscavvet 4-4, 2.60 and Thad Souders 6-3 2.28 for keeping us in games most of the time. My scout doesn't really think much of either one of them so, again, I don't have a good explanation. Maybe my catcher calls a good game.

You don't give yourself enough credit. Saving a roster spot for that hooker was a stroke of genius.
