Thanks Brad! A quick exit in the AAA Playoffs this week, but it was nice to see two of our better prospects play well. Brevin Guo blasted 3 home runs and 8 RBI, and Adam Watson, called up from AA, just for the playoffs hit our only other home run in limited action. We also signed some of our better ML players to extensions this sim as well.

      Thanks Brad!

3-3 sim for Seattle: 1-2 @ Denver, 2-1 @ Pawtucket, now behind California for the Bock by 3.5 games. We are in a good spot to make the playoffs but with such a large split home/road, it's paramount that we land one of the top two Wild Cards, if not the division. I wouldn't bank on any of that happening.

New edition SPs Samuel Norris and Tom Dingman went a combined 0-1 in three starts: 18.1 IP, 19 H, 11 ER, 7 BB, 5 K. The other addition, 1B Erik Hoffman has gone 1 for 17 in Seattle after hitting .305 in Montreal. A far cry from what I thought this deadline group would add.

Lost to Denver's RL team 1-2, tied 1-1 against LAD's AA team and up 1-0 on MON's AAA team.
      Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
      Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041

In what is probably Matt Healey's final appearance in a Denver uniform, he went 2-3. In the 6th inning, he led off with a first pitch ground ball single through the hole between second and first. A few pitches later, he tried going from first to third and despite reaching base safely, strained his hip to avoid the tag. Just like that, Healey's season was over.

He will be 40 in December. There's a possibility he opts-in, but negotiations this season seemed to indicate that Healey believes he's worth more on the open market than his $1.2 mm option. If this is indeed the end for Healey in Denver then it comes with heavy heart. The last time we had a great third baseman, we saw Pedro Zamarida make the Hall of Fame.

Healey's chances aren't as likely as Pedro's was some 30 seasons ago, but he finishes his age-39 season with 71.6 career WAR (50th all-time), 2,775 hits (19th all-time), 133 triples (second all-time), in the top 100 with 289 stolen bases, 446 doubles, and 1,224 runs, and a mind-boggling 10,476 plate appearances with ZERO hit by pitches.

        End of an era.

A quick stat check, and 14 players in BLB history had 0 HBPs and more than 5 000 AB... That seems unreal!

Now is a good time to re-sign your minor league FAs. (Your Team, Front Office, Upcoming FA, Filter: None, Position: All players, Actions-Offer Minor League FAs Minor League Extension)

If there are minor leaguers who are demanding a BLB salary, you can call them up to the 40-man roster any point between now and the end of the season and it locks them into a $280k salary (unless they are a former BLB veteran).
