My team is a mess... We have booked a Ropes Course for this Thursday to try to build some team camaraderie... The boys seem to be taking awhile to gel.

Hopefully this is the key to success in California!

        Thanks Brad!

Seattle goes 3-3 losing a game in the Bock standings. 2-1 @ California, 1-2 @ Phoenix

CF Tom Stark is on fire and the lineup was held to under four runs just once in the six games. We need them to lead us as the pitching and defense will be average at best.

IF Erik Ward has been a nice surprise so far at $2M. A consolation price from all the big infielder signings (Swope, Smith, Pineda, Schmidl, etc). The 32-year-old journeyman is now hitting .256/.782, which would be a career best outside of his 2032 All-Star campaign in Baltimore. He's pacing a 4 WAR, and has provided plus defense at 2B-3B-SS.

5-2 for the Bats. 1-0 vs California (to finish off a 3-1 series win), 1-2 vs Batavia, 3-0 @ Baltimore.

Last sim I said that it would be nice if Dave Davidson realized that the season had started, and this week he rewards me with an IL POTW performance, .429 with 3 HRs and 8 RBI.

SS Killian Pena had a nice season in his debut last year, but he's looking like a real star so far in this one, hitting .352 with 8 HR and an IL best 30 RBI. I thought he could hit better than he did in 2034, so it's great to see him get off to such a hot start. Erwijn de Jong continues to lead the league in hitting, while also having the most doubles and triples. Our offense has been fantastic so far, leading the IL in runs scored. With the pitching staff giving up the fewest runs in the league, things have gone well in DC.

This all comes with the caveat that my schedule has been ridiculously front loaded with home games, a reverse from last season. We'll see if this team can come close to this pace when we actually play some road games.
