4-2 for the Bats. 3-0 vs BAT, 1-2 vs PHI. The sweep of Batavia pretty much clinched the Stout division (we'd officially clinch the day after that series), but Philly came into DC and won a series. With the Stout now wrapped up and a 4 game lead in the race for HFA, we can consider resting some of our players.

It's a credit to the depth of our lineup, but it seems to be someone different stepping up at the plate each sim. This week Josh Allen hit .400 with 3 HRs, Jaden Nichlos had a big week and "Cabfare" Davidson continued to hit well. Rory Smith's quest to break the Bats' single season HR record of 40 has stalled out, but the rest of the guys are picking up the slack.

On the mound, Arballo got win #20, a career best for him. Not sure he'll pitch again this regular season, so that could be where it stops. He's picked up the win in his last 10 starts. Philly was able to get to the back of my bullpen, roughing up both Fenton Soto and Dave Stacey. In good news, Erik Marrella has been very good since coming back from AAA and has probably pitched his way onto the playoff roster.

We'll finish up the regular season with 3 @ New York and 3 vs Carolina. The Knights are still fighting for the final Wildcard spot, but so far this season we've had their number (9-0). It's been pretty even (5-4) against the Tobs this year.

Thanks Matt! Appreciate you stepping up like that. I had started my day being productive, not expecting a sim until the evening....oh my surprise.

Seattle goes 3-3, pretty much conceding HFA to the scrappy Bats of DC. I might have got cute throughout the season resting players with such a commanding Bock lead. Might end up regretting it in the end.

The Pilots will play the deep bench for the final week, with a few youngsters getting reps. Going to see how veteran SP Bao and rookie SP Ley do in the rotation this week, as we might be auditioning for the #4 spot after Seymour blew his arm out.

Exports continue to roll in September. Swept those low-lifes in New Orleans and then took one from Indy.
Sure Indy took 2 of three, but everyone in the universe agreed that 2-1 win was the most important of the set. I'm sure even JJLinn would agree. That one win was a game changer baby!

It’s the spark that our rivalry needed.
