The talent in your major league club probably won't get you 90 wins. But playing every player correctly might've prevented 100+ losses.
You know what? Players decline contract offers. It happens. Go out and get other players. Make trades. (I'm sure this is the point you're going to respond to).
You expect to have 60+ rated players at every position at every level? In my minor leagues, I have exactly ZERO players rated (either currently or potential) with a rating above 50. I have 4 players between 40 and 50. 4 players... that's it. out of 75 minor leaguers, I have 4. most of my players are in the 20's. that's just the way it works. you develop a handful of decent players, but you don't kill them by never giving them a day off. you don't kill them by playing them out of position.

It takes five seconds to click on each of the "ask manager for" buttons and signing FAs is an incredibly easy process too. We're not asking for the world here, but an absolute minimal amount of effort would be appreciated.SIN CITY GAMBLERS since 1990

And it's not like a 20's player won't perform. Take for example this AA pitcher
http://ootp.oldredboat.com/news/html...ayer_2357.html
My scouts have him rated as 33 current / 35 potential.
But his record in AA this past season?
15-10, 3.14 ERA. Is he rated highly? Nope. he's not even on MY list of top prospects. But he's still worth keeping around b/c of his performance.

Your team has 142 unearned runs, I'd estimate at least half of which could have been prevented by playing guys in the right position. It wouldn't turn you into a playoff team, but I don't think its a stretch to say they cost you about 10 wins over the course of the year.
This is significant because losing affects your fan interest, market size, etc. By not caring now, you're significantly hurting your chances of competing in the future.

Regarding the whole JJ thing:
This league is a bit more in-depth than I originally thought and I can see where it can quickly become overwhelming to the unitiated.
Browbeating JJ isn't really going to help motivate him to invest more time and thought into his team and thus improve the league. And I'm sure that's not anyone's intention, but after re-reading this, I don't think the way our suggestions were couched is the best way to go about it.
I just don't want another player to leave the league.
JJ, I'm in the same boat as you with a crappy minor league system and years of maneuvering before I can really compete for a championship. I'm SO TOTALLY NOT the guy with the answers (obviously) but if you want to bounce ideas or get suggestions, just PM me. I'm sure many of the other players would be happy to help to!

To avoid piling this all on JJ, there's some other teams that have had some similar apathy in regards to their team.
California had a C and a 1B combine for 38 errors in 94 games at SS.
Syracuse had an OF and 2B combine for 45 errors in 59 games at 3B.
Bottom line, get your act together or you will be replaced. I have no patience for people who don't want to be here. I'd rather have the CPU run your teams if you're too lazy to even fill out a proper lineup.

Rosters need to be set back to 25 players by Thursday's sim. That means you need to do it in one of your next two exports. Don't leave this up to me, as I'm just going to take whatever random players and send them down, which could waste some option years you don't want to waste.
