2034 Regular Season SIM 17 Complete - Next SIM Sat 10/26
Thanks BradZ! More than 10 years into the BLB and I still get really excited to wake up to a sim. The Pilots however didn't play great as they went 2-1 vs. WC but 1-3 at Carolina. Even worse, two of the wins were by 1-run in extra innings and the four losses were all decided by 3+ runs. We could have easily gone 1-6.
In injury news, the BLB gods have quite a sense of humor. Three weeks ago I decided to waive (then trade) SP Pat Bice because we had plenty of pitching depth and wanted to use more of an innings eater in the #6 spot. So we called up Jim Bunch, who was a high stamina back end SP. That same week, iron man Khalil Corey who in his 22 year baseball career had two injuries (both day to day for 2/3 days), suffers a rotator cuff injury and will miss three months. Unfortunately, we didn't have another RP to fill his spot, so I decided to waive Bunch, move Umlauf to SP and call up RP Mike Ponce. Then this week, RP Kevin Hurley suffered a dead arm (out two weeks) and Bunch was claimed by Pawtucket.
TL;DR - I've lost four BLB pitchers in the past three sims.
