Just lost my best hitter for a month. That’s not how I planned it.

3-3 week for the Bats. We split 2 games at Windy City and then split 4 with Seattle at their place. It'll take those results, but we lost a couple leads in the late innings to prevent a better week. Our hitting star of the week was Killian Pena, who hit .391 with a 1.179 OPS. The high priced free agent has gotten better as the season has gone on, so hopefully he's going to start playing like a star. He's been pretty good so far, but I thought he'd hit a little bit better and maybe this is the start of that.

In the minors, the Richmond Rams are 44-13 and riding an 11 game winning streak. My top prospect, Erwijn de Jong is leading the way for them with a .440 batting average and 4.4 WAR already this season. I'm pretty crowded in the outfield, but he's making it very difficult to not call him up at this point. If he keeps hitting like this and stays in AAA, he'd pretty much rewrite that record book.

Montreal, QC - Like a pair of wide-eyed co-ed's attending their first frat party, the Pawtucket Patriots and Pittsburgh Millers visited Montreal and left with regrets, holes in their memories and the smell of Hank on them.
As they were leaving Montreal, Toronto, California and Denver were seen hanging out in the hallways applauding the Patriots and Millers as they took their walk of shame; smeared lipstick, shirt on backwards and carrying one shoe while searching for the other.

But nobody ever leaves Montreal empty handed as both teams were given a parting gift before they left.

The next lucky visitors are New Orleans and Indianapolis who will help celebrate "Raw Dog" week in Montreal.
